Most companies hit a point where the contracts get harder, the questions come faster, and outside counsel gets expensive. I have spent most of 13 years practicing inside companies rather than across the table from them: as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of an international professional association, as the legal partner to HR leadership through reductions in force and executive separations, and most recently as senior corporate counsel for a global materials distributor. I do that same work here: contracts, corporate governance, employment and HR, disputes, and trademarks, for businesses that need a lawyer who understands the commercial side as well as the legal one.
